Club Forum:
Fundraising – Murray – $325 was made at the Electric Waste event; $14,000 revenue from Cash Calendars.  Upcoming events are the Waterfalls Tours on April 4th and 5th, the Wassail event, and a shredding day event is being considered.
Secretary – Brenda advised Rotary apparel, from Uniquely Yours, will be available next week; a report on our tech system with recommendations for improvement will be forthcoming from Caleb Hutton shortly; and more volunteers are needed for the sewing event at the Wellington Arena on March 17th.
Treasurer – Randy did a quick Executive Summary of our finances and advised he can be contacted if anyone would like more detailed information on any items.
Club Service – Jim indicated there may be one Membership Application submitted soon; “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” will be held in May; as part of our Attendance function, Hilary will now be regularly reporting any members who are away for 3 or more meetings so that follow-up contact can be made; the 50/50 is now up to $1,000; more help is needed for taking down and putting away at the end of meetings and the establishment of a schedule is being considered.
Community Services – Jim reported, for Barb, that two students will be attending the Youth Parliament and will be reporting back on their experience.  The students are being financially supported by both our Club and the Wellington Club.
International Service – Gord advised $2,000 was internally transferred to the Ukranian Committee; donations were also made to the Shelter Box and Landmine Clearing projects, both of which we have supported in past years.  This leaves a balance of $3,000 until the end of this Rotary year in June.
Youth Exchange – Grant advised that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Wellington Club, for the Youth Exchange Program, has been developed and will soon be available on-line.
Foundation – Joanne, for Graham, advised our US$5,000 goal has been achieved; however, we are light on our PolioPlus donations; our ‘Every Rotarian Every Year’ (EREY) donations are going up nicely.  Other reports are available by request.
Public Image – Joan – recognition of organizations who supported our Cash Calendar sales is being posted on social media and through The Gazette; “Peace Building” is Rotary’s theme for the month of February.
Ukraine Relief Fund – Don advised donations can be made on-line through Zeffie; 500 Christmas cards were sent to the Ukraine in December and we have heard back from them that the cards were greatly appreciated.
Past Presidents’ Night will be held earlier this year, on June 16th because our usual later date interferes with the annual presentation of awards by our Rotarians to the school students.  This event will be held at The Waring House from 5-9pm, at a cost of $70pp.  We are hoping to increase our attendance above the 55 of last year and to also have many new members attending.
